Christopher S. Raimondi, CLP

Christopher S. Raimondi, Certified Landscape Professional, (CLP) and president of RHG, has made it his mission to educate students and clients about the benefits of landscaping with an environmental consciousness.
Raimondi teaches horticulture at The New York Botanical Garden, New Jersey Botanical Garden and is a Professor at Bergen Community College, where he also serves on the Horticultural Advisory Board.
A published author in national and international magazines, Raimondi served as co-chair for the Plants for Clean Air Council and is a member of numerous trade organizations including: The Associated Landscape Contractors of America (ALCA), where he served as past chairman; The New Jersey State Florists’ Association; the New Jersey Landscape Contractor Association; the New Jersey Business and Industry Association, the Ohio Florists’ Association, the Cornell Cooperative Extension, the New England Interior Landscape Association, Florida Nursery Growers Association, the Bergen County Landscape Contractors Association and the Business Christmas Decorators Council.
Christopher Raimondi is proud to hold the notable Certified Landscape Professional (CLP) designation, awarded to landscape professionals who demonstrate distinct knowledge about their field in order to then pass a six-hour National Landscape Exam given by the Associated Landscape Contractors of America (ALCA). ALCA is the official trade association for the landscape contracting industry. The test includes a culmination of sections that test one’s comprehensive knowledge of the landscaping industry. The test sections include questions on the following subjects: business, risk, law and contracts, human resources, health/safety, interior or exterior production/operation, horticulture, sales, marketing, communications and public relations.
Raimondi serves as a Shade Tree Commissioner in the Borough of Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey and is an active member of Ridgewood Project Pride, made up of a committee of Ridgewood, New Jersey residents who seek to preserve and beautify Ridgewood’s public area.
Raimondi obtained his degree in horticulture from the State University of New York at Farmingdale. He has been a volunteer firefighter and officer for over 25 years. “It has been both my privilege and pleasure to volunteer for organizations that are integral to the welfare of the community’’, Raimondi said.
